The Heidelberg Project was created by Tyree Guyton in 1986. The outdoor art installation'sĀ purpose was to be the catalyst for change and to be a cultural asset to the city of Detroit.
The HP is located in Detroit's McDougall Hunt neighbor hood on the Heidelberg and Elba place streets, between Ellery and Mt. Elliot.
The outdoor art environment is free for visitors to walk through from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Showcased here are photos from the HP.
